About Me

Hi! My name is Mason Sands, and I straddle the space between media and politics. As a Forbes journalist and Tobin Project researcher, I spend my days studying how democracies rise and fall and my afternoons writing about the latest social media trends for Forbes. The strange thing is— I don’t see much of a difference between the two!

My past experiences include analyzing U.S.—Latin American relations as part of a Chilean think tank, giving lectures on globalization at a high school in Hangzhou, advocating for a fairer and more representative electoral system, and helping maintain one of the largest collections of Jewish literature in the world.

My goal is always to share a good story, making the complex accessible and incorporating seemingly small moments into a larger narrative. If you have any suggestions for future stories or just want to say hi, reach out! I always love good conversation.
